A single-hole faucet is very popular in today's market. It is easy to use and contains a single handle that is convenient since it controls the water pressure and temperature with one lever. Furthermore, there are many marvelous designs that will fit any bath decor.
Before you start disassembling your shower valve you will need to turn off the water supply to your home. Every home is different, but you will need turn off the water to the home. Once this is done, open up several faucets to drain the water down from the water system. Also open the valves on the shower faucet to relieve the water pressure. From here you can start removing the handles and escutcheons. The standard handles use a simple retaining screw, after market handles may use a set screw, and an Allen wrench may be necessary. Handles that are hard to remove, may need a handle puller to break loose.
If none of the curtains available in the market or online suit your taste or needs, then you might have to consider making your own shower curtain. This can be accomplished in two ways, you can either sew matching or complementary fabric at the bottom of your existing curtain to add length to it, or you can weave ribbon through the grommets of the curtain to increase the length of the curtain.
